Climate Crisis in the South Pacific

Over the past years, I have documented the effects of the climate crisis in the South Pacific and how it affects the everyday lives of millions of people. Rising sea levels cause flooding and erode coastlines, saltwater inundation destroys crops of sugar cane farmers, warming sea surface temperatures cause coral bleaching, storm surges destroy entire reef systems and severe tropical cyclones wreak havoc on communities and cities causing billions of dollars in damages and even costing lives. We’ve got the knowledge and capabilities to transition faster than we are currently doing and the time for action is now!

Wherever you are from reading this post, chances are you can do something to help:

  • elect leaders who care

  • lower your own carbon footprint

  • donate/invest time and/or money to organizations and businesses actively driving change

  • don’t support those with your money who are doing the opposite

  • spread the word to friends and families
